ABOUT
Since its inception in 1973, Columbus Preschool has been enriching the lives of our area's youth.

Columbus Preschool is a nonprofit, democratic, parent-run organization. It is owned and managed by the parents and succeeds only with the help of those parents. Columbus Preschool is licensed by the State of Wisconsin as a group center and provides educational programs for 3- 4- and 5-year-old children.
The Columbus Preschool Board of Directors is made up of parents - elected by parents - and they serve as the administration of the preschool. They manage the finances, maintain the building and equipment, and hire the teachers. The board meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month to attend to the affairs of the preschool.
Parents pay tuition, which basically finances the operation of the school for one year. In addition, parents participate in fundraising activities and help by serving on various committees. In short, each and every parent is a part of this school, sharing in the joys and successes, as well as the responsibilities of the preschool.
