4K

Columbus Preschool partners with the Columbus School District to bring you the most sought-out 4K program in the district.

Columbus Preschool's 4K program is a community-based, high quality, preschool program that is run in collaboration with the Columbus School District and four other 4K sites. It is based on the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. The curriculum is play based, which provides rich learning experiences that help children gain skills in all areas, including social, emotional, cognitive, creative expression, early literacy and self help. Because each group of children is unique, the curriculum will be correspondingly unique for the need and interest of each class.

The 4K program at Columbus Preschool is taught by Melissa Kauth. Mrs. Kauth is a compassionate, respectful and fair teacher who takes pride in her work, and we believe our students are beyond lucky to learn from her.

Classes meet from 11:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Columbus Preschool follows the Columbus School District calendar. A snack is served each afternoon and is provided by parents on a rotating basis.

Registration takes place in late winter and is completed on the Columbus School District website. If you are not sure whether your family is registered with the Columbus School District, especially if your oldest child is not yet in school, please contact the district offices at 920-623-5950. This program is funded by the school district, so an academic fee is required.

Enrollment in Columbus Preschool's 4K program is capped at 20 students. Preference is given to students who attended the 3-year-old program at Columbus Preschool, as well as to those families who have parents on the Preschool board.
